1896年にアテネで第1回オリンピックが開催された。その記念すべき大会に演奏されたのがサマラス作曲の「オリンピック賛歌」である。
が、その後、この「オリンピック賛歌」の楽譜は失われ、幻の楽曲となった。
1964年の東京オリンピックの直前に、この「オリンピック賛歌」のピアノ版が漸く発見された。発見されたピアノ版によって、幻の「オリンピック賛歌」に想いを馳せたい。（録音：2020.2.15 「ピアノマニア弾き合い会」にて）
The first Olympics were held in Athens in 1896. At the memorable event the “Olympic Hymn” composed by Samaras were played. However, after that, the original score of this “Olympic Hymn” was lost and it became a phantom song.
Just before the Tokyo Olympics in 1964, a piano version of this “Olympic Hymn” was finally found. I want to wonder the illusionary “Olympic Anthem” with this piano version.
