大会本番での活躍を祈念し静岡県袋井市の特産品を味わっていただこうとと、アイルランドオリンピックチームが宿泊するヤマハリゾート葛城ホテル北の丸のメインダイニング「椿の間」でクラウンメロンが振る舞われました。
選手・スタッフの皆さんはアイスアートが添えられたクラウンメロンのピラミッドに驚きながらも、食後のデザートなどとしてクラウンメロンを味わい、「とてもみずみずしくておいしいね！」「袋井でクラウンメロンを食べられるのを楽しみにしていたんだ」と、とても喜んでくれていました。
市民との交流ができない状況の中ですが、チームアイルランドの皆さんの貴重なオフショットをご覧ください。

A crown melon was served at the main dining “Tsubaki no Ma” at Yamaha Resort Katsuragi Hotel Kitamaru, where the Irish Olympic team is staying, in order to pray for success in the tournament and to taste the special products of Fukuroi City.
The players and staff were surprised at the pyramid of melons with ice art, but tasted the melons as a dessert after meals, “It’s very fresh and delicious!”, “I hope you can eat melons in Fukuroi.” I was looking forward to it. ”
