The 100km Team Time Trial is possibly the hardest cycling event of the Olympic Games and certainly one of the most prestigious. Unfortunately like other cycling events, this event no longer exists in the Olympic Games program for cycling. In 1988 in Seoul Korea, the East German team who were branded ‘The Grey Ghosts’ rode under 2 hours to break the record and beat the reigning champions.
