Mizuki Noguchi, Gold Medal 2004 Athens Olympic games Women’s marathon

4 ft 11, Noguchi strongly pushes forward with her powerful strides, winning the most physically challenging Olympic marathon race ever. She launched on her “final sprint” just halfway through, knowing that that’s the only chance she would win the race, leaving behind world record holders Paula Radcliffe (current) and Catherine Ndereba (former). Noguchi broke Japan’s Women’s marathon record in Berlin next year.

Music composed by Hyakutaro Tsukumo; “Moon of Black Rain” from the PC game Broken Thunder and “Baldish” from Claymore.
